It was 1980 when granddad Alberto, with over twenty years of experience in the field of pastry
and ice cream making, opened the first Gelateria Artigianale Bonelli, the ice cream parlour, in the centre of Rome.
The ice cream was made the “old way“, using only high quality genuine products from fresh milk to the cream, sugar, eggs, hazelnuts, and pistachios, in keeping with the strict handcrafting processes leading to the preparation of a delicious ice cream: the recipe, the mixture, and then the pasteurisation and lastly the whisking phase… to obtain the product that the whole world envies us….

Over the years the Bonelli Family has distinguished itself in various catering sectors by setting up winning business activities that still operate in the field.

In 2005, Gelateria Bonelli, Gelateria Artigianale, reopened in the Parco Leonardo Shopping Centre, merging the historical baggage made of the experience of the ice cream parlour with a modern
vision attentive towards the tastes of our times without giving up on the “old way” combined with excellent products of the highest quality.
Our Experience, Passion, and Communication strategy allow us to offer an ORIGINAL, UNIQUE and NON-STANDARDISED product: we do not follow trends, we just make NON-INDUSTRIAL ICE CREAM.
